American Red Cross San Antonio Area Chapter's assistance to military families is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the people of South Central Texas. Around the clock and around the globe, during times of personal crisis, the Red Cross supports United States active duty, National Guard and Reserve service members, veterans, and their families. Through a network of people working at our Chapter headquarters, branch offices, and local military bases, the Red Cross offers a broad range of services including:
• Emergency communications between deployed service members and their families.
• Access to financial assistance in times of crisis.
• Support to patients and families at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center.
• Social service information and referrals for military families to ensure that their needs are met.
