On March 5, 2008, the Red Cross and Culver’s of San Antonio partnered for the second annual Day of Giving. More than 370 Culver’s restaurants around the country participated and donated 10 percent of the day’s proceeds to their local Red Cross.
On August 26, 2007, the San Antonio Area Chapter held its first annual Family Preparedness Day to encourage everyone to be prepared for emergencies and disasters.
The San Antonio Area Chapter serves 2.4 million people in 23 counties across South Central Texas. We respond to an average of one home fire every day. Last year, we responded to 499 local disasters, including home fires, floods, and tornadoes.
